has kept me busy this month. it's a flickr group my friend gina started.
basically it's a picture a day for a year.
the only rules are, you must take the picture (you can use a tripod and a timer)
and no flash.
then we have challenges.
january's theme was "happiness is..."
it was so great.
i found myself looking for the things that made me happy each day.
(a great way to count blessings)
for february we are doing colors.
first week blue, 2nd red/pink, 3rd green, 4th brown
this one has been more challenging. i think i'm still in "happiness" mode.
but i love the challenge of it.
and i LOVE the idea of having a complete book at the end of the year that really shows a true picture of my life. (better than journalling!)
because i've been taking all the photos in a horizontal 4x6 format i plan on just printing them all up and sliding them into an album with 4x6 page protectors.
so easy!

i am SO happy you (and all the other ladies)joined me this year. it's made it so much more enjoyable than last year! and i get to feel inspired everyday! i love it.
It is such a good idea, a different way to journal for a year, and great that you already have a plan to print and organize them. I've thought about joining but then I forget. Great photos, as usual!
I love your photos... and that I get to see them every day. They make me feel like (in some small way) I am still part of your day-to-day. Miss you... but Portland is getting closer every day!

I have had so much fun doing this too! I also have had a hard time turning off my brain from "happiness" and find myself looking for blue and now red things that make me happy. Which I guess isn't such a bad thing! I love seeing your photography.
Oh, and I've broken the flash and you must be the one taking the picture rule a couple times. But that's ok, because it's MY project. :)
