my baby...

started kindergarten today!

this day came so fast. although it feels like my whole world has changed in the last 6 years.
six years ago today we put cami on the bus to kindergarten and then we walked down to meet her bus. i was 8 months pregnant with grady. and i was crying all the way down the hill to the school and wetting my pants cuz for some reason that seemed to happen when i cried.

i had six weeks "alone" before grady arrived. and we've been buddies ever since.
what will i do without him?
thank goodness there's a lot of targets around here...

actually, i have plenty to do between driving back and forth to bellevue where mackenzie is attending a private school and helping in the other two's classrooms.
i might actually have time to get some "real" stuff done around here.
and maybe go to lunch with rob sometimes.
there has to be some perks right?

I am just about in tears because I won't be there to spend some of your new "free time" with you.
Grady looks like a mini-Rob: totally stylin'! Does he love having all day at school?

Love Grady's pics. I just showed Kelly (Ward) and we both agree....he is difinitely a "Rob" mini-me! BTW how is McKenzie doing this year? Ed and Barb were telling me about her new school. Tell all of your kids that Aunt Amy asked about them. Love them. You and Rob also.

Okay, I just shed a few tears. Yup, I'm the emotional auntie! I'm so proud of Grady. He is such a sweet, smart, kind little boy. I feel so lucky to be his aunt. I'm sad he's off to all-day kindergarten, but happy for you and the time that you'll get to do other things. I know it's an adjustment for you, but you'll be all settled into a new schedule in no time. We miss you guys, and love you very much.

Oh, and I agree with Gina. I see plenty of you in Grady, especially in his personality. He is a good blend of you and Rob. Oh, I wish Grady were here so I could give him a big hug. and you too of course.

He is one cute boy! And yes, he looks just like Rob -- especially when Rob was that age! I can't believe he is in kindergarten already! 13 years will go by fast and soon you will be posting about his high school graduation!

Grady is too cute! I can't believe how time flies by so fast! I didn't even get emotional sending Rachel to preschool, but as I'm reading everyone else's blog I'm shedding tears for their kids. Go figure! I'm sure you will do many fun and splendid things with all of your free time...I miss the shoreline moms!

And going to lunch and Hawaii with your friend Marie.

I can't believe he's that old. I remember when you were pregnant with him.

And you can come to Target with Noah and I anytime! We go at least twice a week... :)

I can't believe I'm making the 18th comment on this post! Isn't that exciting.

He is such a little man now, though I guess he has been for a couple of years. It is hard to send them off but so great to seem them getting to be so smart. Grady is a great boy.

I cannot believe your kids are this old now! I remember attending your baby shower when you were prego with Mackenzie! I even remember eating yummy bread/soup bowls at your shower.

hiya!
i didn't use any actions on the clouds, but i did work hard to not overexpose them... they were so awesome that day. by doing this, the landscape was actually quite dark and that is what i ended up lightening. i did, however, select the blue from the sky and saturate the color to make it really pop. anyways... probably more than you wanted to know!

ps... where are all your new posts with all this free time you have now!? ;)

I know how you feel! It is quite eerie to not have someone to take care of while they are in school. Its not something I want to get used to. But as you say--all that time gets filled up so quickly-with your new calling I am sure it will be filled even more quickly.
