the kids knew we were going to palm springs for winter break.
when we got to the airport on wednesday night we had the kids open their valentines present early.
inside the giftbag was a disney tee, movie, and their disney autograph books.
i think they were a little confused to find those in there, but were quickly thrilled when we explained that we were going to disneyland for 2 days before heading to the resort.
it was a lot of fun to surprise them although cami was a little bummed that she didn't get to boast about the trip to all her friends before going.
what a great valentines day at the happiest place on earth!
then we drove out to palm springs and stayed at a beautiful resort with a mini water park.
the weather was perfect, high 70's.
so hard to come home...

wow, the palms springs resort is like a mini-disneyland itself.
what a fun way to surprise them. i can only imagine how fun it was to be at disneyland for valentines day...you better tell me all about it.
LOVE the resort layout. digital scrapbooking is SO awesome!
love ya, g
How fun! What a fun idea to surprise the kids, I am sure they loved it. Looks like a great getaway for all of you. Where are the pictures of all of you enjoying the waterslides, and river? :) Hmmm, did Kelly actually go in the water?
okay... now my valentine surprise doesn't seem so exciting... ;)
super fun!
i'm starting to get a bit envious of your exciting life!
How fun! I'm so glad you guys had a great time...I love Palm Springs!
Disneyland and Palm Springs! How fun for you all! We still have wonderful memories of our trip with our children to Disneyland, years ago. There was one ride on which screamed and couldn't stop screaming until we stopped! I nearly had a heart attack.
I am so jealous!! Warm weather and happy children..maybe one day it will happen for me!
i did actually get in the river and do the water slides. they were pretty fun. but i admit, i spent most of my time soaking up the sun and reading a book. heaven!
it's so great now that grady can swim. that means this summer at the pool i don't have to sit at the edge of the pool or get in with him. it's one of those "milestones".
It looks like the resort was amazing, but what I really love are the target bags at the foot of the bed! :) I am glad you guys had a great vacation.
glad you had fun!
i wish i was in the sun!
and leave it to you to go to palm springs and find a target!!
i bet the kids were really excited, those are some lucky kids you have:)
That is a great surprise.
After talking about Palm Springs with you I remembered a soccer tournament I had there when I was in jr. high. It was only May but it was boiling hot and everyone was concerned about heat stroke and dehydration. So how about a winter home there?
You guys get parents of the year award!! How fun is that to surprise the kids! I am DYING to go to Disneyand!
If you ever need a 4th kid, I'd be happy to volunteer!
Grandma Lee and I are blogging today and she really enjoyed your blog page and seeing her great-grandchildren! They are so cute!
