is how i feel showing this to you.
i'm baring it all.
this is how we're living right now.
(as you can see, i did not clean this before sharing)
as you know, we're remodeling our upstairs, all 1500 square feet.
so we're all downstairs. we've set up a temporary kitchen in the laundry room complete with fridge, oven, cabinets, and microwave.
grady's sharing a (pink) room with mackenzie. rob and i are in the fitness room.
our dining room is in the play room.
it's actually working out okay.
some of the challenges are:
no dishwasher. (we use paper plates and bowls at every meal, which we compost, and wash the rest of the items)
one mini counter in "kitchen". (we use the top of the washer and dryer for extra space)
one toilet. one shower.
one tiny tub. (no baths for me...)
living with twice the stuff in half the house.
the real stress i've been dealing with is just all the DETAILS!
if you know me, i like to research a single paint color for six months.
i had a clear idea of what i wanted everything to look like, i just didn't realize the millions of decisions i would have to make.
and because i've been dreaming about this for 9 years, i want it to be perfect!
it looks like we may have about 6-8 more weeks.
i'm hoping to post some progress pictures soon.

hey! i'd live there!
you can make any place look great.
i have the same commitment problem.
i've been wanting to paint my living room & entry for a year now and just can't commit to a color...
kelly, i'm not sure how you can think those pictures showed a messy house, but i'll let you go on believing that.
thanks for sharing i was pretty curious. i knew it would look good because you can only do good things.
love ya,

The living quarters are very doable, but I'm sure you are all feeling a little bit cramped right now. Just think in a couple months, you will be enjoying your big bathtub, and have your house put back together. It is going to be well worth the extra wait time.
i love how even your 'mess' looks clean because of all the light colors you use.
hang in there, it will be a distant memory soon.
thanks for sharing your 'nakedness' with us :)
I hope everything stays on schedule so you can spread out again soon. I'm sure that all your detail obsessing will be worth it in the end.
It'll be over soon, and totally worth it. It sounds like you are hanging in there...your digs look lovely!
ps. I love the color of the exercise room/you and Rob's room. Do you remember what it is?
How exciting to be doing a remodel..a headache sometimes Im sure but still -your dream is coming true!! I can't wait to see how it turns out ")
So exciting to be remodeling! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Thanks for joining our dedication run! I know you said you have run 5k's before, but do you want to run a half marathon??? There is one May 10th in Tacoma. You should really think about it!
If this is messy, my house should be condemned...add CRAZY to the c's! :)
Ev said that it is going to look amazing! Your house is sooo clean--btw I love those arbonne products!!
let me clarify something.
i'm talking about the messy scrapbook room and kitchen shelving.
my cleaning lady had just been there that day, so the beds were made and stuff generally picked up.
i'm not psycho...
okay, maybe a little.
Be sure and post pictures of your makeovers. I am excited to see them. I like what I saw of your house in the pictures. Are you sure you needed a remodeling?
When's the house warming party? Can't wait to see the finished result.
